Fabric - How Much

Post by mmarien »

I'm thinking of starting the fabric covering this summer. I was tying to calculate how much. They suggest 45 yards for a cub. It has two less wings but the interior is fabric covered. I came up with about 46 yards. Does that seem right?

I also read through the messages here that mentioned fabric. Lots of good ideas. The wiring is complete. I need to adjust the control pushrods. They will be buried in the wing and fuselage once the fabric is on. I think I'm prepared to start but interested in any tips anyone has.

Be sure to put inspection hole reinforcing rings in areas where you would need to access control pushrod adjustments in the future for inspection, lubrication, adjustment.
